What I'm saying is that Linux distros have had a tough time competing because they have lacked the focus and drive of a corporate structure. If Canonical can overcome this challenge, then maybe they have a shot. We'll probably see hardware OEMs invest heavily in developing their own Linux distros in a focused manner, so this reality could easily change in the not-too-distant future.
